Getting Around The Local Area By Bike

Depending on how confident and fit a cyclist you are, there are a range of destinations that can be accessed by bike from Allens West.

Locally, a journey by bike into the centre of Eaglescliffe will take just 5-minutes, whilst a bike ride into the centre of Yarm will take less than 10-minutes. Slightly further afield, Stockton-On-Tees centre can be reached in less than 30 minutes giving access to a wide range of amenities and services, including The Hub, where secure cycle parking is available. NCN Route 14 can also be reached from the homes at Allens West in around 10 minutes, providing a signposted route from Darlington all the way to South Shields. With mostly traffic-free paths along disused railway paths, this is an ideal route for those new to cycling or families.

If you’re a more experienced rider with confidence travelling on roads, it takes around 45 minutes to reach Middlesbrough.
